Violet and Oswald were my grandparents. Grandma taught me how to sew at the age of five, and Grandpa was a handsome, strapping man who always dressed impeccably. Our logo is a photo of my grandparents on their wedding day in 1939 in the Ottawa Valley.

 

My grandparents fostered the belief in me that despite being raised on a farm in a small country village, I could do anything. So I became a fashion designer.

 

V&O is a dedication to my grandparents and all grandparents who gifted us with unconditional love and support and sent us into the world with knowledge and wisdom, and all the lessons in life we needed to become our authentic selves. We thank them!
